Numerous issues related to the possible misalignment of the Bascle gate system including lateral and horizontal seals and possible piston cracks required a structural evaluation of the entire Bascule gate system. The structural evaluation was performed to determine whether the as-built and construction complied with the construction plans and specifications submitted during the bidding process. Rehabilitation of the gate supports, seals and reassembly of each gate system was proposed. The estimated construction cost for this project was $ 10,000,000.
